Are you interested in using your well-developed governance skills to further the vision and values of a feminist organisation committed to improving the lives of women through best practice health promotion and advancing gender equity?

Women’s Health and Wellbeing Barwon South West (WHWBSW) is now seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced energetic women* who wish to become governance leaders for the organisation by joining our Board.

These voluntary roles are suited to exceptional women living in the Barwon South West region who have:

— Proven governance skills and high-level experience in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources/ Accounting/ Social Enterprise
— A willingness to commit to the vision, purpose and values of WHWBSW, in line with the organisation’s Strategic Plan;
— Integrity and high ethical standards, along with sound judgement and strong interpersonal skills to work as a team with other Board members;
— An ability to challenge and probe to get the facts and suggest new ways of doing things;
— The confidence to think independently, and share that thinking even when others think differently; and
— A desire to promote the organisation and its vision to key stakeholders and the community.

Board members must have the ability to commit to: a minimum of 10 hours per month to Board activities; participation in relevant Board sub-committees; and attendance (online) to 80% of meetings.
