Acknowledgement Of Country

We respect First Nations peoples and their enduring connection to country – to the land, air, waterways, oceans, animals and plants – and recognise the wisdom and culture that has seen them thrive for thousands of years. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and, with humility and courage, wholeheartedly commit heads, hearts and hands to a path of healing, restitution and justice, embracing the wisdom of those who can guide us. We will fulfil our responsibility with honesty and integrity, we will challenge injustice, and - in all of this - we will hold ourselves accountable.

Sexual and reproductive health consultation

We need your help to improve sexual and reproductive healthcare service delivery and access.

Women and gender diverse people in regional and rural areas often face complex barriers when accessing sexual and reproductive healthcare.

So, we’ve launched a community consultation to better understand the experiences of women and gender diverse people as well as insights from healthcare providers.

We ran a community consulation survey from the 12th of May to the 6th of June. We thank the over 400 women, gender diverse people and health care providers who completed the survey and generously shared their experiences.

Your participation will help us to advocate for improvements in the Barwon South West.

Phase two of the consultation will invite women, gender diverse people and sexual and reproductive healthcare providers to participate in interviews and focus groups to further explore the issues identified in the survey.

Phase two will begin in August, if you’re interested in participating in an interview or focus group please contact us  via info@womenshealthbsw.org.au

Our survey is now closed.
