Acknowledgement Of Country

We respect First Nations peoples and their enduring connection to country – to the land, air, waterways, oceans, animals and plants – and recognise the wisdom and culture that has seen them thrive for thousands of years. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and, with humility and courage, wholeheartedly commit heads, hearts and hands to a path of healing, restitution and justice, embracing the wisdom of those who can guide us. We will fulfil our responsibility with honesty and integrity, we will challenge injustice, and - in all of this - we will hold ourselves accountable.

The WHSN Impact Report 2025 showcases some of our key contributions towards improving the health and wellbeing of women and gender diverse Victorians over the last three years.

The report features case studies from across Victoria demonstrating our impact towards:

  • Transforming Victoria’s health system

  • Building safe and equal environments where we live, work, learn and play

  • Elevating community voice and leadership in health and wellbeing

  • Improving health and wellbeing outcomes for women and gender diverse people

  • Improving access and outcomes for women and gender diverse people from rural communities

  • Improving access and outcomes for women and gender diverse people from migrant and refugee communities

  • Improving access and outcomes for women and gender diverse people with disabilities

The report highlights what can be achieved when we prioritise health equity and invest in gendered health promotion and primary prevention.

We developed a short animation to accompany the report that explains what health promotion is and how the women’s health sector helps address the systemic drivers of unequal health outcomes. Watch the video and read the report below.
